Prana Pratistha refers to the rite or ceremony by which a murti (statue of a god) is consecrated in a Hindu temple, wherein hymns and mantra are recited to invite the deity to be resident guest, and the idol’s eye is opened for the first time. Practiced in the temples of Hinduism and Jainism, the ritual is considered to infuse life into the Hindu temple.
Maha Vishnu Yagya as the name suggests is the Yagya performed to invoke the blessings of Lord Vishnu. He is the perceiver of the universe and upholds Dharma (cosmic law). Vishnu has a very important place in the Hindu religion. He is the nourisher as well as the protector of the universe.
Athi Rudra Maha Yagan is a very important form of worship of Lord Siva, the very source of cosmic energy for the entire creation. His divine form encompasses and extends far beyond all known and unknown galaxies and universes. Lord Siva is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent and all pervading. He is the conqueror of Death and an embodiment of infinite mercy, compassion and love.
Saharsa Chandni Yagna is widely known and valued also as Devimahatmyam (Glory of Divine Mother). This hymn is presented to the world in a dialogue form between Markandeya and Kroshtuki in the Markandeya Puranam. It should be noted that this great work was not penned by the Maharshi but has originated from time immemorial handed down over thousands of generations.
